Happy Birthday, Mr. Jean Paul Gaultier!

As I was already foreshadowing it yesterday, today’s “outfit” post is featuring my two temporary companions (RIP already, both of you!) – two bottles of the special edition designed by Jean Paul Gaultier for Diet Coke. Not only that this was the perfect timing to include them at some point into my daily shoots, it was also THE day for Mr. Gaultier. His birthday!

As his S/S 2012 collection was having a huge publicity due to the controversy of honouring Amy Winehouse, I found it quite hard to imitate a similar styling. Of course I failed. But at the end of the day it was another funny experience to discover that I’m still unable to do a proper eyelid line and to get such a hair-do like Ms Winehouse had. Due to the fact that I’m lacking of a typical Gaultier corset (and of a blue striped simple shirt – shame on me!), I preferred a simple way of dressing myself. Electric blue jeans did the job quite well together with a normal tank top and nothing but my old, shabby Zara heels.

As I always find it quite funny how people get crazy about these coke bottles designed by different designers (like Karl’s from last year or Diane von Fürstenberg’s some time ago), I just had to pose with them in such a way while not taking myself too serious. ;)

Having said this, I hope Mr. Gaultier has had a blasting Happy Birthday!
